    Chip capacitor are different from Chip resistor. Chip resistor can allow current to flow through and block the current, whether in an AC circuit or in a DC circuit, and at the same time convert electrical energy into heat. But if the chip capacitor is connected to a DC circuit, except for the current (charging current) flowing at the moment of connection, theoretically, there is no more current flowing, and the circuit is equivalent to disconnection. Only in AC circuits or other circuits where the current changes with time, the capacitor can play a role in modulating the current. This is because the essence of the chip capacitor in the circuit is the process of charging and discharging. The charging process can be completed quickly in the DC circuit. It is felt that the DC circuit is open at the capacitor.


     The dielectric constant of the chip capacitor dielectric is also called the dielectric constant of the dielectric. Therefore, the dielectric constants of different materials vary greatly. As for the thickness of the dielectric material, it can be reduced as much as possible when the process conditions and the electric field strength of the dielectric material permit. In addition, with regard to the problem of increasing the effective relative area of the electrodes, in addition to the electrolytic capacitor that can greatly increase the surface area by the rotten chip process, and the organic winding capacitor can accommodate a larger relative area, due to the limitations of the volume of the electronic machine and the assembly space , It is not allowed to be too large in a single plane, so people make its entire inorganic dielectric capacitor into a laminated structure. Although the area of the opposite electrode of each layer of small capacitor cannot be increased, many The small-layer capacitor are connected in parallel, which greatly increases the relative area of the capacitor.
