When it comes to electronic components, everyone knows that there are active components, passive components, structural components, and functional components. Today, let’s talk about their market share for active components and passive components.
The first category is active components. The so-called active components refer to components whose physical or chemical properties change after power-on. Active components are mainly semiconductor components and display screens. Semiconductor components account for more than 50% of the cost of mobile phones, and most of them are controlled by European and American companies.
Mainly include baseband, memory, application processor, power management, radio frequency, camera module. The base frequency can be divided into analog base frequency and digital base frequency. Usually the two are integrated together, and there are separate ones.
The second category is passive components, which do not undergo physical or chemical changes after power-on, mainly including capacitors, inductors and resistors. The capacitor used in the mobile phone is a special MLCC capacitor, and the resistance and inductance are also special chip inductance and resistance.
The main suppliers are Japanese and Taiwanese manufacturers, including Japanese manufacturers Murata, TDK, Kyocera, Taiyo Yuden, Panasonic, Rohm, Taiwanese manufacturers Yageo, Pagooda, Dayi, Wangquan, Qilishin and Huaxin Technology. Taiwan is gradually eroding the sites of Japanese manufacturers, forcing Japanese manufacturers to continuously improve their technology to develop high-end products. Taiwanese's gross profit margin is slightly lower, about 10%, and Japanese gross profit margin is about 15-20%.
