{Knowledge Primary School}Full bridge and half bridge of rectifier diode

Source: FAQ Editor: PingShang Click: Release time: 2020-03-04 08:34:50

The rectifier diode is a semiconductor device that converts AC power into DC power through its unidirectional conductivity.

The rectifier bridge is usually connected by two or four rectifier chips, two are half bridges, and four are called full bridges (almost full bridges are used). The exterior is packaged with insulating plastic, and the high-power rectifier bridge is encapsulated with a zinc metal shell outside the insulating layer to enhance the heat dissipation performance.

As a kind of power components, the rectifier bridge is very extensive. Used in various power supply equipment. Its internal is mainly composed of four diodes to realize the conversion of the input AC voltage into the output DC voltage.

It needs to be pointed out that, as a rectifier component, the diode should be selected according to different rectification methods and load sizes. If the choice is improper, it may not work properly, or even burn the pipe; or it may be overkill and cause waste.
