What is the function of series and parallel chip resistors?

Source: FAQ Editor: PingShang Click: Release time: 2021-10-15 11:50:37

In electronic circuits, there are various ways of connecting chip resistors, and the common ones are series and parallel. So what is the effect of the two types of series and parallel? The editor of Pingshang Technology will explain to you from a professional perspective.

SMD resistor series: It is to connect two or more SMD resistors one by one. At this time, there is only one path for the current, and the circuit connection without other branches is usually called a resistor series circuit.

The total resistance after series connection is equal to the sum of the resistances of each segment. In other words, after the chip resistors are connected in series, the total resistance is greater than any one of the sub-resistances.

SMD resistors are connected in parallel: Two or more SMD resistors are connected side by side between two nodes in the circuit to provide multiple paths for the current. This is the circuit connection of SMD resistors.

The reciprocal of the total resistance after paralleling is equal to the sum of the reciprocal of the resistances in the parallel circuit. In other words, after the chip resistors are connected in parallel, the total resistance is less than any one of the sub-resistances.

This is the end of the sharing of SMD resistors. Welcome new and old users in need to come and consult
