As you know, only models with a 4-pin connector support PWM fan speed control. However, the German company Phobya has found a solution to this problem. The company produces components for assembling liquid cooling systems and various related components.
The company introduced a special adapter called 4-pin PWM to 3-pin converter, which allows you to control the speed of any 3-pin fan using a PWM signal. The essence of the adapter is that it receives the PWM signal from the motherboard or controller, and controls the speed of the connected fan by changing the voltage supplied to it.
Of course, the adapter is connected to the system using the included 4-pin 500mm cable. The output adapter can provide up to 1 A, allowing you to connect two fans to it at once using a dedicated cable with a pair of 3-pin connectors (purchased separately). The size of Xinqi products is only 50 x 39 x 18 mm, and they are pasted on double-sided tape.
Phobya 4-pin PWM to 3-pin transformer adapter is already on sale and is in the German online store
It is priced at 9.8 euros.
