TDK Introduces New SMD Series Of Robust Hybrid Polymer Aluminum Electrolytic Capacitors

tagsChip Capacitor

Islin, New Jersey, September 4, 2019 (Global News)-TDK Corporation today announced that it has expanded the range of hybrid polymer aluminum electrolytic capacitors by launching the SMD series. The sturdy components are available in 25 V DC / 330 µF and 35 V DC / 270 µF versions, each of which measures 10 x 10.2 mm (dxl). These capacitors comply with RoHS requirements and meet the requirements of AEC-Q200, are designed for a maximum operating temperature of 125°C, and have a service life of more than 4,000 hours.

Compact capacitors particularly have two electrical parameters: their extremely low ESR value ≤ 20mΩ, and a high ripple current capability of 2.8 A at 125°C and 100 Hz. Hybrid polymer technology makes these outstanding values possible.

In addition to automotive electronic control units, capacitors with order codes B40900B5337M000 (330 µF) and B40900B7277M000 (270 µF) can also be used in industrial applications.

The new SMD series is a supplement to the existing series of the world's first axial hybrid polymer aluminum electrolytic capacitors. These capacitors range in size from 14 x 25 mm to 16 x 30 mm (dxl), are designed for rated voltages of 25 V, 35 V or 63 V, and provide capacitance values of 390 to 2,100 µF. Despite their light weight and small size, they provide high current capability for automotive power modules.
