The output can be a PWM or PDM representation of the original measured capacitance, and the internal DSP can be used to process sensor measurements and send the results via I2C or SPI. DSP can run AMS open source code and user-generated code to achieve functions such as measurement linearization, temperature compensation or conversion.
There is a demo board and a software development tool for development, testing and debugging.
It comes in the form of a bare chip or QFN-24.
